Dr. Jessica Johnson is a board-certified European Specialist in Large Animal Surgery with a passion for equine health. After earning her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from University College Dublin in 2011, she completed three internships and a three-year surgical residency, focusing her doctoral research on ultrasound-guided injection techniques in horses.

Before joining ADECH, Dr. Jessica served as Senior Clinician in Surgery at the Equine Veterinary Medical Centre in Qatar, where she also held the position of Acting Director. With a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Business Management and multiple peer-reviewed publications, she has extensively researched laminitis and diseases specific to Arabian horses. Dr. Jessica moved to Abu Dhabi in December 2023, taking on the role of Director of Veterinary Services at ADECH.
